Sharon fruit with cherries

For today's painting I had Sharon fruit and cherries. I had to rearrange my still life set up today to fit this one on my desk, I rescued this part of an old crate from a pile of stuff Dad had ready to go to the tip. the wood is quite fragile in patches and there a few rusty nails in one end, but it makes a nice little corner to put stuff in.
I haven't bought sharon fruit before so I am looking forward to see what it tastes like, my box of cherries on the other hand is emptying quite quickly as I keep munching on them as I paint.
