I'm back! What was meant to be a few days off painting to do my annual accounts, have a bit of a clear out and tidy up turned into a couple of weeks! The weather here last weekend was so nice I had a couple of days off everything, and with this weekend being the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, I didn't list on ebay as bank holdays are usually poor for online sales for me.

I had a few paintings drying whilst I have been offline, so I will be posting them soon.

A strawberry with a few blueberries for today, I don't do that many daily paintings in portrait so this was a nice change.

I spent the rest of the day priming and sanding canvas boards as I was getting a bit low on them, I have also been playing around with the pool balls and my new box of marbles!

 A Conference Pear with Cherry and a few blueberries for today. I wasn't expecting any cherries for a while, but my Mum came home from shopping with a bag of them for me, so I had to paint one. The conference pears I have at the moment are quite a mix of colours and shapes and sizes, this one a sort of yellow ochre with greenish patches.

I thought my pewter tankard would go well with these small fruits, the pewter is just shiny enough to reflect a little colour from the cherries, but not so shiny that it would reflect everything around.

I have been busy tonight, priming more canvas boards, it only seems like yesterday that I did the last lot. I like the canvas to be quite smooth, so I take time to prime, sand, and so on.

I enjoy painting these small canvas boards, and I am now selling them with a free display easel, I have taken care whilst painting the edges, so they look tidy on the easel, this is the second one I have done this week, the first one sold within 12 hours of listing. The next 10cm sq painting that I will be listing, is of a pear with a cherry, I also filmed that one, so I will post as soon as I have put the video together.

A Comice pear with cherry and blueberries for today, I think the colours of these three go really well together and the variation of sizes works well as a group.

I am planning on painting clementines again tomorrow, but not sure what to put with them yet.

I am sorry I have missed a few daily painting over the last few weeks, I have problems with my Hips and back and they have been troublesome recently, but I am trying to get back up to speed!

For today's painting I chose Cherries, Strawberry and Blueberries, as the summer is coming to an end I thought I had better make the most of these fruits while they are still very available in the shops around here, at a reasonable price, and I love painting cherries! I have got quite a taste for blueberries now as well.

For today's painting I just had to use this Pear again, it has to be the nicest looking pear I have had from the shops, it's a shame it will not last forever. This is the first time I have painted Blueberries, they will be in the next painting as well. I also have some great Apples to paint this week, they are a lovely rich red colour.
