Here is the lates fruit with its sticker still on it. I enjoy painting small details and these labels are qite a challenge, the actual size is about the same as my thumb nail.
I hope no one is getting bored with clementines yet! as I paint directly from life I have to paint things as they are available, I am sure clementines with leaves will be hard to get hold of soon so I am making the most of them.
I used to make these button tree acrylic paintings a few years ago, and this is the first one since I began oil painting. whilst sorting out stuff last month I found I had so many canvases that I do not use with oils so I thought I should start doing something with them and I have thousands of buttons! so here is the first button tree of 2013. I will be listing another one tomorrow night :)
This painting is done on a canvas covered wood block that is about 3.3 cm thick so it will sit nicely on its own or there is a hole in the back so it can be hung.
Thanks to my dad who cut them out and sanded them for me :)
I am finally back painting after a few weeks off, I have been busy having a massive sort out and re decorating my room, it took a bit longer than I had expected so its good to be back at my easel.
