I have been priming up lots of canvas boards over the weekend,  some larger 10 x 8 inch ones I hope to use soon.

A Bright red cloth and a lemon had to be a good combination, I draped the cloth up and behind the lemon as I thought it would stand out more.

I painted these Jam doughnuts about a month ago, but I liked the painting so much I couldn't let it go straight away. This painting was also chosen as one of the images of the month for April on the Painters online website.

This painting has a light coat of retouch varnish.

I am really enjoying painting cloth at the moment, changing my paints has helped a lot, the W&N Artists oils are lovely to use.

These pears are another variety that gets called a blush pear, this pair looked good together like Mr & Mrs.

I had planned a busy weekend painting, but as it is a bank holiday weekend I had some time off today instead, back to work tomorrow and hopefully get a new video filmed.

I saw these meringues in the shop and I had to get some to paint, Mum ate one and I painted one.

From the shop it came in a white paper case so I switched it to a red one to go with the strawberry slice.

Last week I delivered 13 paintings to Oriel Ger-y-Fenai in LLanfairpwll in Anglesey. Here are 8 of them framed up, The gallery also do framing and I am very pleased with these great frames.

The gallery is located directly opposite Pringles and is well worth a visit if you are in the area. Over three floors the gallery exhibits the work of many great welsh artists.

I have missed the last few days painting as I had a tooth out on Friday and I felt a bit rough after it, its a lot better now :)

I had to paint this Red Williams pear just on its own because of the striking yellow stripe it had on it, it looked like it had been painted on.

I have had quite a quiet Easter weekend, I have been priming lots of boards ready for the next few weeks and also started on a larger 40cm sq painting.

This is my entry to the challenge this week on dailypaintworks, the challenge was to paint something for Easter so I had to paint chocolate eggs. The big egg is a Cadbury cream egg and the small ones are mini eggs.

I'm back! I had to take a few days off the daily paintings to catch up on some other work for a gallery, I will have more news on that in a few weeks time.

This is my first ever painting of a pineapple, and I did find it quite tricky! as almost all of my daily paintings are painted from life rather than using photos I have avoided pineapples before as they are usually so big. This baby pineapple, the fruit part was only the size of an apple so it was great. It was very tasty as well,  it was eaten shortly after painting, Mum and I had half each.

This painting was done with W&N Artists oils on canvas board.
